Color Maths ("we," "us," "our") is a mobile app for children that teaches basic arithmetic through a solve-and-color activity. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it complies with children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Color Maths is developed by Ihor Skliar, operating from Canada.

Summary

Color Maths does not require an account, sign-in, or any personal information (name, email, photo, etc.) to use.
Game progress and level unlocks are stored locally on your device only. We do not sync this data to any server.
The app contains no advertising and no third-party ad networks.
The app uses Firebase Analytics, configured under Google's child-directed treatment, to collect limited, non-identifying usage data described below.
The "Unlock All Levels" purchase (priced in your local currency, shown at checkout) is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment or card details.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

The app itself does not ask you or your child to enter any personal information. If you choose to contact us through the feedback form on our website, we receive whatever you voluntarily submit: your name, email address, and message. This is only used to respond to your inquiry.

Automatically collected usage data (Firebase Analytics)

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand basic, aggregate usage patterns, such as which screens are opened and how long the app is used. This SDK is configured with Google's child-directed treatment setting, which means:

No advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA) are collected.
No ad personalization or interest-based advertising signals are collected.
Data is limited to general, non-identifying technical and usage information (e.g. app version, device type, general region derived from IP address, session length).

We do not use this data to identify individual children, build user profiles, or serve ads. Data processed by Firebase Analytics is subject to Google's own privacy practices, described at policies.google.com/privacy.

Information we do not collect

No account, login, or user profile.
No location tracking beyond coarse, non-precise region data via Firebase Analytics.
No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
No advertising or behavioral tracking.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Color Maths is designed for and directed at children, including children under the age of 13, and is listed in Apple's Kids Category. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not display third-party advertising or use behavioral/interest-based tracking.
Analytics collection is limited to non-identifying, aggregate usage data with ad personalization disabled, as described above.
Game progress is stored only on the device and is never transmitted to us.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information (for example, through the website feedback form), please contact us at the email below and we will delete it.

In-App Purchases

The app offers one optional in-app purchase ("Unlock All Levels"). Price is set by Apple in your local currency and may vary by region — the exact amount is always shown before you confirm the purchase in the App Store. This transaction is handled entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's own privacy policy governs data collected during purchase.

Data Retention

We do not operate a server that stores personal data from the app. Feedback messages submitted through the website are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is retained by Google according to Firebase Analytics' standard retention settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data or your child's data. We do not share data with advertisers. Usage data described above is processed by Google (Firebase Analytics) solely to provide analytics functionality to us, under Google's child-directed data handling terms.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect any information we do receive (such as feedback messages), but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

App Use & Disclaimer

By downloading or using Color Maths, you agree to the following terms in addition to this Privacy Policy:

License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. All content, characters, graphics, and code in Color Maths remain the property of Ihor Skliar and may not be copied, redistributed, or reused without permission.
Intended use and parental supervision: Color Maths is designed for children ages 4–8 and is intended to be used with parental awareness. We are not responsible for how the app is used outside its intended educational purpose.
No warranty: The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation.
Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ihor Skliar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including device issues, data loss, or interruptions in service.
In-app purchases: The "Unlock All Levels" purchase is final once processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled solely through Apple's App Store refund policy; we do not process refunds directly.
Changes and discontinuation: We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time without prior notice.
Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes affecting how we handle children's data will be posted here before taking effect.
